Around the world, more than 100 million children are missing an education. Many struggle to learn in large classes of up to 100 children. The UN estimates that there is a shortage of 15 million teachers world wide! Teachers, parents and kids around the world have campaigned since 2003 to ensure that every child receives a good quality education by 2015.Click here to read about the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals[pdf]. In 2005, millions of children around the world participated in global civic action to support the right to education. Please join this year's Global Action by the Canadian Global Campaign for Education, a coalition of NGOs, teachers unions and universities.
